10 - 2 Samuel

TLDR: David's reign: Jerusalem as capital, covenant with God, and then sin with Bathsheba and its consequences. The house of David is established forever, but discipline and strife mark his later years.

David king over Judah then all Israel (ch. 1–5). Ark to Jerusalem; covenant (ch. 6–7). Victories and kindness to Mephibosheth (ch. 8–9). Bathsheba, Nathan, consequences (ch. 10–12). Amnon, Absalom, rebellion and death (ch. 13–19). Sheba, census, plague (ch. 20–24).
